We will begin a short unit comparing film to short literature. We will read the short story "Memento Mori" by Jonathan Nolan. We will then answer questions and do an analysis of the story. This will prepare us for a daily film study of Memento, the film based on the short story. If you are out, below is a copy of the story and a copy of the questions.

Tues-Friday: We will begin our first literary criticism written responses. All papers will be due on Friday at the end of class. Tuesday and Wednesday will be brainstorming and outlining in class. Thursday and Friday we will be in the lab writing. If you need a copy of the assignment, click HERE.

This week, Sept. 11th - 15th ... The College Essay!
For the next two weeks, we will be looking at the topics for the College Essay, brainstorming, pre-writing, revising and editing. By Monday, September 25th you all should have a completed College Essay that is ready to submit!
